Last September, Frontier Services launched the inaugural Great Outback BBQ - with great success!

Friends, family, workmates, and members of local church communities gathered in backyards, paddocks, church halls and even a shopping mall to raise funds to assist those that need a hand throughout remote Australia.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters we raised a total of $80,000! Thank you to all who rolled up their sleeves and got involved! We look forward to this years' event being even bigger and better - and we'd love you to get involved!

Here are a couple of ideas to get you started on your Outback adventure:

• Feature an Outback movie such as AUSTRALIA as a focus for your BBQ

• Have a competition for the best BBQ recipe, then send the winning one to us to be judged for publication on our website (or maybe a cookbook in the future!)

• Theme your BBQ from one of Henry Lawson’s poems or prose

• Celebrate (or commiserate) the end of the football season
