Marie – from her off road caravan writes:

Many years ago I was part of the catering team preparing for a Northern Synod meeting in Darwin.

As we went to stack the supplied refrigerator we were confronted by a Kangaroo - fur & all - minus head & feet!

I had forgotten this incident as I tackled a fridge in 'the quarters' of a property on which we were volunteering with 'Outback Links'.

There was some beer in the fridge - no surprise there - but in the freezer compartment was an unknown lump, alfoil clad & frozen.

Knowing the casual property worker was Aboriginal I wondered if the alfoil concealed fur, feathers or fins.

I had the wrong starting letter - Q is for quills - traditional tucker - echidna!
