Tracy Aged Care is a low care service in the centre of Darwin with 24-hour care delivered by suitably skilled and qualified staff. There are 56 residents including 15 residents in Arafura House, a special unit for people with dementia and 41 residents in Tracy Lodge, including four Transitional/Rehabilitation beds and respite beds. The service is managed by a Director of Care (a Registered Nurse) and a staff of 39 including Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Quality Officer, Occupational Health and Safety Officer, Personal Support Workers, Lifestyle/Activities Coordinators, Administration and Maintenance. Physiotherapists, Dieticians, Podiatrists, catering and cleaning services are contracted out.
There are many activities for residents to attend and be involved, including bus trips, shopping trips, BBQs, exercise club, bingo, craft group, art group, daily newspaper readings and more.
Frontier Services managed Tracy Aged Care on behalf of Darwin Pensioners and Senior Citizens Association from 2000, until purchasing the business and becoming the approved provider in December 2003.
