Cunnamulla, Queensland.
This Patrol commences at the NSW/QLD border on the Mitchell Highway and stretches 230 kilometres north to Wyandra, east about 100 kilometres and west to Nockatunga over 300 kilometres out of Cunnamulla. It is roughly 150,000 square kilometres in area.
The major communities include Cunnamulla, Eulo, Thargomindah and Wyandra and the region is characterised by marginal pastoral stations. In the west of the Patrol is an opal field based around Yowah. The area has many "characters" and a colourful history. Tourism is well established although there are many kilometres in between centres.
The local Cunnamulla Congregation is not as strong as in previous decades, nevertheless the patrol ministry is well supported. Ecumenical cooperation is important, especially during times when other traditions are not able to appoint ministry agents.
The Patrol Minister is also involved in police chaplaincy.
