Numbala Nunga is located in Derby, WA. It is managed by the Director of Nursing leading a staff of approximately 30, including Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Personal Care Assistants, Housekeeping, Clerical and Catering staff.

The new building was opened in 2010. The original service was established by the Western Australia Government in response to local needs and serviced the entire Kimberley region. Frontier Services became the approved provider in 2008 following the withdrawal of WA health services. The service provides care for 26 high care residents.

The population of Numbala Nunga varies, but has a constant base of 24 residents with an allocation of two respite places. At least two-thirds of the residents are Indigenous.

Numbala Nunga is sited adjacent to Ngamang Bawoona and they share services such as catering, laundry and grounds staff.
